FIRST LOOK- Pioneer DDJ-FLX10
It’s real…it’s here…it’s really here.
What’s up everyone, Matt here reporting from I DJ Now HQ where we have been fortunate enough to receive some of these…the Pioneer DDJ-FLX10! Yes these much talked about DJ controllers have finally arrived, just in time for the upcoming party season.
The DDJ-FLX10 is a 2-deck, 4-channel controller for rekordbox and Serato DJ Pro, offering some fun new features that make it a great tool for those of you who love to mix, match, and mash up tracks.
The big new feature you’ll find on the FLX10 is the Track Separation technology. With this, DJs are able to load up songs from their library to the FLX10 and manipulate not 1, not 2, but 3 track elements. Pick and choose vocals, drums, or instruments from compatible tracks and mix and manipulate to form fresh mashups and remixes on the fly. You can also use FX Part Select to apply effects to specific parts of a song, and Part Instant Double to capture a specific part of a song and send it on over to another deck for scratching.
Visually, users will be pleased to see expanded on jog displays that offer 4 modes: deck info mode, waveform mode, artwork display, and DJ logo display. When using rekordbox, you can also use these displays to keep an eye on vocal position, pad mode status, an optional rotating digital marker, and Mix Point Link information. Speaking of visuals, Pioneer has also introduced the first-ever multicolored jog ring which not only show different parts of a track when using track separation, but are also customizable for a DJs preferred look.
On the back, users will find a DMX output to use in conjunction with rekordbox’s lighting function. Plug your DMX lighting fixtures directly into the FLX10 and create custom lighting effects directly in rekordbox. No DMX interface required!
With a newly developed MAGVEL FADER with a 4-sensor system, and an overall intuitive design, the Pioneer DDJ-FLX10 is sure to be welcomed by the DJ community with open arms. And you can stop by one of our show room locations, or visit IDJNOW.com, to get your orders in today.
