Matthew “Recloose” Chicoine is a DJ and producer from Detroit, Michigan who kick-started his career in the 1990s under the tutelage of world-renowned techno producer Carl Craig. In 2001 he immigrated to New Zealand where he lived for 13 years, releasing 4 albums and many more 12"s and EPs while touring the world as a club DJ and bandleader. In 2008 he was awarded New Zealand's Tui Award for Best Electronic Album (Perfect Timing LP) and hired to run the country’s first full-time electronic music program at Auckland, New Zealand's MAINZ school. He relocated to Brooklyn, NY in 2014 to help launch Serato’s first creative studio space and international Artist Relations program, and currently works for Roland Corporation as their DJ Product Manager.
